Airfares go up 7.19 percent at the IPCA and press services, shows IBGE

RIVER-the rising price of tickets pulled high of 0.49% of families with Transportation expenses in October, according to the national consumer price index (IPCA), released by the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE). Air fares rose 7.19%, equivalent to a 0.03 percentage point impact on high of 0.42% in the IPCA. The fuels also increased in October. Ethanol was 1.13% more expensive, the equivalent of a contribution of 0.01 percentage point on inflation, and gasoline rose 0.24 percent, also an impact of 0.01 percentage point. 7.19% increase in airfares in October was more lenient than the September (21.90%) but still pressured inflation in services within the IPCA inflation increased from 0.50% in September to 0.37% in October. The accumulated rate in 12 months decreased from 4.99 percent to 4.88%. On the other hand, increases in electricity (3.28%) and in the cylinder gas (4.49%) pulled the acceleration of inflation of goods and services tracked from 0.24% in September to 0.98% in October. The accumulated rate in 12 months by inflation of goods and services rose to 6.12% monitored in September to 6.59 percent in October.
