Climatic conditions contribute to advance seeding of rice

With the little rainfall that occurred in recent days, mainly in the southern half of the State, the orizicultores could give new impetus in the planting of the crop 2018. As the Rio Grande do Sul rice Institute (Irga), the West Border is the most advanced region so far, with 310,611 hectares planted (98.02%), followed closely by the South, with 167,724 ha (96.5%). Across the State, have already been planted 957,977 ha, or 88.84% of planned area of 1,078,279 ha to yield 2017/2018. The other rice producing regions in Rio Grande do Sul showed the following developments this week: Inner coastal plain, 131,330 ha (89.6%); Campaign, 143,314 ha (88.03%); Depression Central, 108,892 ha (75.8%); and Outer coastal plain, 96,106 ha (71.38%). Some municipalities Gauchos already reached 100%. The weather forecast for the next few days indicates rain in almost all Rio Grande do Sul this Saturday and Sunday, as information Climatempo.
