Spot price of electricity in may must be recalculated, points CCEE

SÃO PAULO-spot electricity prices in short-term market or Price for settlement of differences (PLD), should be recalculated their values to the second, third and fourth weeks of may, according to the document electric energy trading Chamber (CCEE) seen by Reuters. In a letter sent to national electric Energy Agency (Aneel), the CCEE said it found errors and that we would need to republish the numbers for a few weeks because the difference between the original and the revised calculation PLDs is superior to 10% the minimum value defined for the LDP, as set out in the legislation that regulates price revisions. The letter, seen by Reuters, the price differences after republication must be at the actual 5 per megawatt-hour for the second week, the real 7 for third and between 4 and 8 for the fourth week.
