PLD rises 49% in the Southeast/Midwest and North

SAO PAULO-the price of settlement of differences (PLD) went up 49% in the Southeast/Midwest submarkets and North between 17 and 23 June, to R $140,18/Mwh. The price in the Northeast went from R $123,25/MWh for the same R $140,18/MWh, an increase of 14%. In the South, the LDP left the minimum value (R $33,68/MWh) and was set at $87/MWh (+ 158%). The information is from the electric energy trading Chamber (CCEE). Even still above the historical average for the period (132%), the inflow forecast throughout the system was reduced to 5,800 MWmédios and contributes to the increase of the LDP in the whole country. The ENAs are expected at 106% of the average in the Southeast, 297% in the South, 34% in the Northeast and in 61% of the average in the North. Already the expectation for next week should be 100 MWmédios higher than the previous high set out in Southeast (+ 200 MWmédios) and fall in the South (-100 MWMédios). There are no expected changes to the load on the Northeast and North, informed the CCEE. The levels of the reservoirs of the NIS were around 880 MWmédios above the forecast with highs in the Southeast (+ 205 MWmédios) and the South (+ 680 MWmédios). In the Northeast, the levels have not changed and the North are MWmédios 15 below the expectation of the previous week. The adjustment factor of SRM planned for June is 79.5%. System service charges (ESS) are expected in R $107,000,000 for the period, being R $52,000,000 regarding energy security.
