Food and housing prices fall and IPC-S closed June with deflation of 0.32%

SAO PAULO (Reuters)-the Weekly consumer price index (CPI-S) ended June with fall of 0,32%, against 0,52% advance in may, with strong price retreats and housing, said the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) on Monday. The fall gained momentum in the third quadrissemana of the month, once the indicator registered 0,12% indentation in that period. In this comparison, the FGV stressed the contribution of housing, whose prices retreated on 0,18% drop 0,74% in the third quadrissemana, especially the residential electricity tariff item. Already the Power Group presented 0,71% deflation, against 0,57% drop in the third quadrissemana.
