Coffee: pace of business follows slow with bringing new crop

The marketing of coffee is slow in the Brazilian market. According to researchers at the Cepea, the reason for the low liquidity is that agents of the sector are waiting for increased harvest of the crop 2018/19. While exporters are standing by the entrance of the new season, the producers follow in the preparations of the harvest. As for the 2018/19 season, according to contributors to the Cepea, the robusta coffee crop in Brazil is in slow pace, as rains hamper the entry of workers in plantations and the withdrawal of the harvested grain. In Espírito Santo, sporadic rainfall have occurred on the State, assisting the coffee plantations. For the Arabic, the firmer climate in recent weeks promotes maturation of the grains in most regions accompanied by Cepea.
