Cameroon: current crop grows 9.5% cocoa in relation to previous

Cameroon cacao production in 2017/18 season went up 9.5%. The production passed to 253,510 tons compared with 231,510 tons last season, as disclosed in a report the National Department of cocoa and Coffee. According to sources close to the Government, the cocoa grindings in the country also grew 61%, to 53,403 tons this year, compared with 33,023 tons last season. Already exports fell to 170,981 tons, compared with 197,365 last season, while the volume of cocoa stocks in warehouses rose to 27,159 tons, compared with the previous year 7,212.
